Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 30, 2026. SysOSX is a set of free tools and articles. There are no user accounts, no sign-up, and no advertising trackers on this site. This page explains, in plain language, what data the tools touch and what we keep.

Browser-based tools: your files stay with you

Many SysOSX tools — the log parser, subnet calculator, certificate parser, certificate generator, test-data generator and the other calculators — run entirely in your browser. Files you open and values you type are processed on your own machine and are never uploaded to our servers. Closing the tab discards them.

Server-backed checks: the domain you enter is queried and stored

Checks such as the website health check, SSL and TLS checks, port scan, DNS and blacklist lookups work by connecting to the target you enter, so the domain or address you submit is necessarily sent to our server and used to perform the check. We store the check and its results so that repeat checks can be served from a short-lived cache and so a report can be opened through its shareable link. A report link can be viewed by anyone who has it; do not treat a report URL as private. Our servers also keep standard technical logs, including IP addresses, for rate limiting, abuse prevention and debugging.

Checks are performed only against the target you submit. By submitting a domain you confirm you are entitled to test it — see the terms of use.

Waitlist and email

If you join a waitlist on this site (for example for a product announced here), we store the email address you provide and use it only to send the launch notice and closely related updates. We do not sell or rent email addresses. Ask us via the contact page and we will remove your address.

Cookies and measurement

We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not embed third-party ad networks or social-media trackers. Our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) may set strictly necessary cookies and processes connection data to deliver the site and resist attacks. We look at aggregate statistics — how many people visited, which pages were popular — to decide what to build; these statistics are not used to profile individual visitors.

Data we do not collect

We do not ask for names, payment details or credentials on this site, and the tools never ask you to log in to a third-party service. If a page ever asks for something like that, it is not ours — close it.

Your choices

You can ask what stored data relates to you (for example a waitlist email address or a stored report) and ask for it to be deleted, via the contact page. We respond to deletion requests promptly; note that removing a stored report also breaks its shareable link.

Children

SysOSX is a technical resource for adults who operate websites and systems. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Material changes will be summarised at the top of the page.
